LLL Leaders Weekend 2018

This year’s training weekend is Dromantine Retreat and Conference Centre Newry Co. Down taking place on the 21st, 22nd and 23rd September 2018.
This is an important training weekend for all Leaders and Leader Applicants. It provides an opportunity for you to update your skills and resources to enable you to provide the latest information and help to mums and Health Professionals.

For people traveling on the M1 motorway from Dublin, continue on the dual carriageway towards Belfast. Do not take any of the exits signposted for Newry. After you pass a signpost saying Banbridge 10 miles, watch out for the large white signpost for Dromantine on the left. Turn left here at Derrycraw Road where there is a small housing estate. Continue on this road to the T Junction. The main gates to Dromantine will be directly opposite you.
Traveling from the North on the A1 you pass both Banbridge & Loughbrickland, about 5 miles after Loughbrickland Lake (on your left) you will see a small housing estate on your right. Move to the right lane of dual carriageway. Watch for the signpost for Dromantine and turn right into Derrycraw Road and continue on this road to the T Junction to Dromantine.

The No. 1 bus serviced by Ulsterbus leaves Busáras in Dublin for Newry every hour on the hour. The journey takes 1.5 hours. Newry is also serviced by rail and 8 trains depart Dublin Connolly Station on a Friday, with 5 returning on Sunday. The train journey takes a little over an hour.
Please be aware that you will be in Northern Ireland and will require sterling to pay the Taxi fare from the train/bus station in Newry to Dromantine.
Check in is from 4pm at the registration desk. All attendees and babies/toddlers will have to register, this is a health and safety requirement.
Tea will be at 6pm on Friday evening and the welcome meeting will start at 7.30pm.
All bedrooms are ensuite and have single beds. Those with children will be allocated single rooms. Those without children will be allocated shared rooms. If you have arranged to share with another Leader / Leader Applicant please fill in her name on the online form. If you would prefer a single room there are a limited number available. There is an additional €10 charge if you request a single room.
There will as usual be a chance to explore the grounds on Saturday after lunch. Please remember we will not be the only people on the premises over the weekend.
